Works at Vernier station from December 10, 2023, to December 14, 2024 Modernization works are being carried out by the SBB to improve passenger comfort and facilitate access to the platforms. This construction period involves significant changes to the services on lines L5 and L6:
- The train departing from La Plaine at 07:12, serving the stations of Satigny, Zimeysa, Vernier, and Geneva (arrival at 07:28), will be canceled. Passengers from La Plaine are advised to take the 07:23 train (less crowded) and use the tpg bus lines.
- Vernier station will be served only once an hour (instead of every 30 minutes) in both directions: service at XX:07 minutes between La Plaine and Geneva, service at XX:53 minutes between Geneva and La Plaine.
- In Geneva, arrivals of trains on lines L5 and L6 will be possible on tracks 7 and 8, potentially involving passage through customs controls. Arrival tracks will be announced on the Mobile CFF app; additional transfer time should be expected.
- Trains on the L6 GenevaâBellegarde line will be coupled with trains on the L5 GenevaâLa Plaine line, resulting in additional travel time. Passengers are encouraged to check the real-time schedule on the CFF website or app.
Travelers between Bellegarde and Geneva (in both directions) can take the normally operating TER trains. Check the schedules here :
